In this presentation, Dr. Lawrence N. Tanenbaum, M.D, FACR, show how a machine learning-based image reconstruction algorithm can sharply lower scanning times for brain and lumbar MRI studies. In their study, the researchers evaluated the performance of iQMR, a machine learning-based iterative reconstruction algorithm that enables MR scans to be performed with a lower cumulative signal. The iQMR system reduced MRI scanning time by approximately 30% while producing similar overall image quality.
